French toast with caramelized apples
Ingredients

- tbsp Meli solid honey

- Pinch of cinnamon

- tbsp vanilla sugar
- Pinch of salt

Instructions

Step 1
Start by caramelizing the apple. Peel and dice the apple into small pieces.

Add the apple pieces to a pan with melted butter and Meli solid honey. Lower the heat and let them caramelize for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Prepare the egg mixture. Crack the egg into a mixing bowl and whisk it with the cinnamon. Add the milk, vanilla sugar, and a pinch of salt, then mix until smooth.

Slice the brioche into 2 cm slices. You can trim the crusts if desired.

Dip both sides of the brioche slices into the egg mixture. Meanwhile, melt a knob of butter in a second pan.

Fry the soaked brioche until golden brown in the hot butter. Flip the slices to avoid burning.

Serve the fried brioche with the caramelized apple pieces. For a dessert version, add a scoop of ice cream. Enjoy!
